Meritage Cares is more than a slogan. It's a commitment to enrich lives by providing support to those who serve and those in need.
The mission of Meritage Cares is to enrich lives in the metropolitan areas Meritage does business by providing assistance to eligible charitable organizations for the support and well-being of children, families, military veterans and other charitable causes approved by the Foundation’s selection committee.

We’re honored to announce that Meritage Homes is the winner of this year’s Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award. This award recognizes homebuilders who demonstrate a lifetime commitment to public service, and it’s a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our employees who embody our Core Value of Start With Heart. Meritage employees from coast-to-coast volunteer their time and talents to support charitable giving projects that help build stronger communities. Whether it’s supporting a local nonprofit or coming together as a company to make a difference on a national level, we strive to make a difference, one action at a time.
In 2020, we set out to support Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization. We've since collected over $250,000 toward their fight to end hunger.
We continue to work toward building strong communities through the Meritage Cares Foundation.

We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home and in an effort to fight against homelessness, we’ve partnered with the Arizona Housing Fund. This program encourages all of our new homeowners in Arizona to donate $25 to the Arizona Housing Fund and Meritage Homes will match each $25 donation. Together we can put home within reach for the underserved in our community.

2023 marks the 10th year that Meritage Homes has partnered with Operation Homefront to gift new mortgage-free homes to deserving veteran families from coast to coast. And since its founding in 2014, the Meritage Cares Foundation has also donated thousands of volunteer hours and more than $4 million to the various national and local charities in the communities where we live and work. It’s a legacy of caring that we’re proud to continue to build year after year.
They fought for the American dream, and we’re privileged to hand them the keys to their own. Through our partnership with Operation Homefront, we provide mortgage-free, energy-efficient, move-in ready homes to deserving veteran families.
From California to the Carolinas, Meritage team members proudly support a variety of community efforts.
